The Child's Family
A Perth based surgeon, Philip Childs is an avid golf enthusiast, skippers the Knee Deep yacht in every race and spends any remaining spare time at Knee Deep wines in Margaret River where you may find him behind the cellar door, raking the lawn or helping with dishes. If you do happen to spot him dining in the restaurant this may be one of the few times you will ever see this man sitting still!
Sue Childs is Knee Deep's resident Mum! When she is here she can be found helping with glasses and dishes and making sure all her staff are happy. She has spent the last 23 years providing full time care for Hayley, who has Down Syndrome, and has enjoyed every moment of it. Now that Hayley is at TAFE and working, Sue is back to part time nursing. We all know the saying 'behind every great man...' well Phil admits it's Sue's calming influence that keeps his feet on the ground, and on the sly if you want a vote to swing your way just have a whisper in her ear!
Kelsea Childs is a qualified Animal Scientist currently working in investment administration at Plan B. She has a passion for animals and enjoys travelling and a nice glass of wine with friends!
Kim Childs is currently studying to become a nurse and is working at one of Perths most popular evening wear stores. She loves going out with friends, shopping and eating chocolate!
Hayley Childs is a fun loving social butterfly who enjoys bowling, music movies and hanging out with her friends. She is currently studying business at TAFE and also has a part time position at Target. Hayley is mad for chocolate and loves trying any creations that spill out of our Head Chef Michelle's pastry section!
Look out for the Knee Deep's reserve range of wines named after the beautiful Child's girls! Kelsea's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Kim's Chardonnay, Hayley's Reserve Shiraz and Sue's Cabernet Sauvignon!
