2014 Limited Release Hayley's Shiraz

2014 Hayley's Shiraz

Limited Release
Aromas of meat-spice, cherries, red plums, white pepper and allspice to start, then guided rather precisely by wild red fruits and textures of tea leaves and chalky cherry skin on the entry. The finish is focused and bright, brought together and honed by gravelly tannin, laced with red fruits and hints of bay leaf and citrus blossom. A treasure to savour.

This range of Limited Release Wines are iconic Margaret River single vineyard varietal wines produced from select parcels of fruit. Each wine is named after one of Phil & Sue Childs 3 Daughters Kelsea, Kim & Hayley. With limited production, bottles are Individually numbered in each vintage series.

2014 Hayley's Shiraz

95/100, James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion 2017, Bright, clear colour; cherry and spice aromas on the bouquet lead into a fresh, lively medium-bodied palate, red fruits to the fore, the juicy flavours given context by fine, yet savoury, tannins. All up, perfect balance and length. Drink to 2029
, Nick Butler, The Vindependent, This has an obvious fruit core to it - quality, ripe fruit. Northern Rhone spice and weight with new world brightness and acidity. It will live a very long time, and not change quickly. Terrific drink. Need more ambassadors for this style
