The Limited Release Kelsea's Cabernet Sauvignon is a vibrant and beautiful red wine. Dark brooding tones of cedar, black berries and ripe cherries greets on the nose. The palate enters as viscous yet tight, with tones of violets and dark chocolate leading to silky tannins and an opulent finish. 15 months in French oak. A classic Wilyabrup cabernet sauvignon to be sipped and savoured. Drink now or be rewarded with cellaring.
This range of Limited Release Wines are iconic Margaret River single vineyard varietal wines produced from select parcels of fruit. Each wine is named after one of Phil & Sue Childs 3 Daughters Kelsea, Kim & Hayley. With limited production, bottles are Individually numbered in each vintage series.

A great red wine for food matching. Linger over this wine and allow it to open up with decanting. Then sip and savour the wine with your favourite red meat dishes. We like to serve this in our restaurant with slow cooked red meats, game, confit duck and strong cheeses.

2013 Kelsea's Cabernet Sauvignon

Baume at Harvest 14.2 Be
Winemakers comments Machine picked. Berries are crushed (just-split) and sent to tank for ferment. Just split berries allow for quicker breakdown of grape skins and better tannin extraction. Fermented on skin for 12-18 days at 25 deg C (warm) and pumped over three times a day, then pressed to barrel. Secondary malolactic 100%, occurs on barrel.
Maturation Aged in barrel on almost no lees for 10 -18 months. No Battonage. French (Centre of France, Troncais, Jupille and Allier forests), 40 - 50% new.
