Many visitors have asked the question "What has happened to those vines?", as they look out over the vineyard from the cellar door or restaurant. The short answer is that this growing season we have grafted the first 16 rows of the chenin blanc (next to the restaurant) over to merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Yes, the tops of the vines will be producing merlot or cabernet grapes whilst being fed from chenin blanc trunks.
